Ses travaux de recherche dans le domaine de la valorisation de la pratique d’activité physique et de l'amélioration de la condition physique chez l'enfant et l'adulte s'intéressent i) à la définition d’une méthodologie d’évaluation pertinente de la condition physique afin de proposer des programmes d’activité physique adaptée aux populations prises en charges et ii) au développement des potentialités physiologiques, et particulièrement aux effets de différentes modalités d’exercices sur les adaptations métaboliques les paramètres de condition physique et de santé sur des populations saines ou souffrant de pathologies métaboliques. Il a publié une trentaine d'articles originaux, et réalisé 6 chapitres au sein d'ouvrages collectifs.
Eric Doré is an assistant professor in Clermont Auvergne University since 2000. He has an MSc and PhD in Sports Science (Exercise Physiology Specialisation) from the Blaise Pascal University of Clermont-Ferrand. He has been the director of the Faculty of Sports Sciences (2010-2015) and he currently manages the Bachelor's degree on "Sports Training", and sports sciences courses for 1st year medical students. His research activity is in the area of the enhancement of physical activity and the improvement of physical fitness in children and adults, with a particular interest on i) the definition on a relevant methodology to assess physical fitness components, in order to propose adapted programs of physical activity for specific populations and ii) the development of physiological potential, especially the impact of different exercise modalities on metabolic adaptations in healthy individuals or metabolic disorder patients. Dr Eric Doré has published 30 peer-papers in peer-reviewed journals and has written 6 book chapters in collective work.
